Artist Avatar Ideas: 8 Muses to Collect

Looking for artist avatar ideas? Start with the one Muse whose job title is simply Artist. Artist is one of the ten career Muses in Dream Jobs — “When I grow up” — and the natural guide into the studio next door: the Art collection, “Color outside the lines,” where ten art Muses cover painting, colour, clay, doodles, pastels, mosaics and rainbows. The eight pictured Muses below were all verified in the live catalog today, with their real rarities and coin prices. New to the idea? Start with what is a Muse avatar?

The Artist and the Painter: Artist at 50 and Painter Paloma at 150

Artist is “expressive, encouraging, and a little whimsical — sees the world in color palettes and believes every happy accident is just texture in the bigger picture.” The page pictures “a pocket-sized painter in a tilted rust-red beret and a paint-splattered denim apron, forever mid-masterpiece,” and adds: “Every day is a blank canvas, and every mood deserves a brighter color.” Artist is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap listed on the page.

Painter Paloma leads the Art studio as its Legendary: “a joyful painter who sees a masterpiece in every mess — Paloma paints first and worries never, and is firmly convinced the world needs more color, preferably all of it at once.” Paloma wears “a coral tee printed with a rainbow palette and brush” and “a jaunty red beret,” with the motto that “there are no mistakes, only happy little masterpieces.” Paloma is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins, capped at 250 editions, with 0 claimed today — exactly a new account’s 150 signup coins.

An unlock is one-time and yours forever, with the full prompt pack, the conversation style and the full-resolution artwork download included on each Muse page.

The Colour Specialists: Huey Hue at 200 and Pastel Pia at 50

Huey Hue is the Art room’s Mythic and its colour expert: “a devoted color theorist who can name 200 shades of blue and loves them all — Huey believes there is a perfect color for every moment, and he will happily find yours.” Huey wears “a teal tee printed with a spinning color wheel, topped with a teal flat cap.” Huey is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions, with 0 claimed today — the smallest edition cap on this list.

Pastel Pia works the soft end of the same shelf: “a gentle pastel devotee who believes every gray day is just a drawing waiting for color — Pia starts with peach, mint and lavender, and somehow the picture always turns out softer and kinder than the day did.” Pia wears “a mint tee printed with pastel crayons” and “a mint bucket hat.” Pia is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap listed on the page.

Marks on Paper and Tile: Doodler Dan and Mosaic Mo, Both at 50

Doodler Dan is the sketch-first artist idea: “Dan doodles on everything — margins, napkins, and his own to-do lists, which are mostly doodles at this point. No blank surface is safe around him, and honestly, most of them look better afterward.” Dan wears “a gray tee covered in pencil sketches and doodles” and “a gray newsboy cap.” Dan is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap listed on the page.

Mosaic Mo builds pictures the slow way: “a mosaic artist who builds big pictures out of tiny pieces and never rushes a single tile — Mo believes nothing broken is wasted; it just hasn’t found its place in the picture yet.” Mo wears “a terracotta tee printed with a mosaic sun” and “a terracotta beanie,” and “builds big, bright pictures out of tiny pieces and calls it optimism you can tile.” Mo is also a Common at 50 Muse Coins.

Hands-On and Full Colour: Clay Coco and Rainbow Rue, Both at 50

Clay Coco is the potter of the studio: “a cheerful little potter in a rust tee printed with a clay pot, wearing a rust bucket hat — Coco talks to the clay like an old friend and wipes her hands on absolutely everything except the finished pots.” If your artist character makes things you can hold, Coco is that character, finished. Coco is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap listed on the page.

Rainbow Rue is the studio’s maximalist: “a sunny little painter in a sky-blue tee printed with a rainbow arc, wearing a white cap with a rainbow emblem — Rue paints a rainbow over anything that stands still long enough: fences, gray days, bad moods.” Rue is a Common at 50 Muse Coins. Together, Coco and Rue cover the two ends of making art — clay you shape by hand, and colour you throw at everything.

Prices, Bundles and Where to Start

The eight Muses pictured in this post total 650 Muse Coins bought one by one: Huey Hue at 200, Painter Paloma at 150, and Artist, Pastel Pia, Doodler Dan, Mosaic Mo, Clay Coco and Rainbow Rue at 50 each. The full Art room holds 10 Muses totalling 750 singly — the three not pictured are Ink Ivan, Canvas Cam and Glitter Gia, Commons at 50 each — and its bundle unlocks all ten for 250 Muse Coins. Dream Jobs also holds 10 Muses, all Commons at 50, totalling 500 singly with a bundle at 250.

A new account starts with 150 signup coins, so the honest first moves are these: unlock Painter Paloma exactly, take Artist with any two of the 50-coin studio Commons for exactly 150, or take Artist alone and keep 100 for later. The Free Muses room also holds 269 Muses at 0 coins while you save.
