Candy Cane Avatar Ideas: Meet Candy Cane

Candy cane avatar ideas start with one red-and-white stripe. Candy Cane is the peppermint of Christmas on AllTheMuse — a collectible Muse avatar who is the candy cane herself, at the Epic rung for 100 Muse Coins. This list pictures her with seven of her Christmas room-mates, from the Mythic reindeer at the top of the room to a Rare ice skater at 75 coins. New to the format? Start with what is a Muse avatar?

Meet Candy Cane: the Peppermint Epic at 100 Coins

Her own page introduces her plainly: “Candy Cane is pure peppermint pep — bright, sweet, and a little bit twisty. She believes every gray December day just needs one red-and-white stripe of fun painted across it.” Her page calls her a peppermint-striped Muse with a sweet swirl and a merry twinkle, hooked on holiday cheer. Candy Cane is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions and fully unclaimed today.

Gingerbread is Candy Cane's fellow Epic, and the room's fresh bake: “Gingerbread is warm, spiced, and impossible to stay grumpy around. Fresh-baked optimism is her whole thing: every day comes out of the oven better than it went in.” Gingerbread is also an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions — the striped candy and the baked cookie, for 200 coins the pair. She has a spotlight of her own in our gingerbread avatar ideas.

The Flagships: Reindeer Games at 200 and Santa at 150

The room's flagship is Reindeer Games: his page says “Dasher never sits still, especially in December. He treats every hallway like a runway and every jingle bell like a round of applause,” and pictures him in a reindeer antler headband with a glowing red nose. Reindeer Games is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions and fully unclaimed today.

Santa carries the Legendary rung: “Santa is the heart of the North Pole — generous, patient, and quietly sure that everyone deserves one small kindness a day. He keeps a list, but it is only ever a list of people to surprise.” He wears the classic red Santa suit with white fur trim, a black belt with a gold buckle, and a pom-pom hat. Santa is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins — exactly the 150 coins a new account starts with — capped at 250 editions and fully unclaimed today.

Two More Epics at 100: Nutcracker and Frosty Friend

Nutcracker stands guard at the same Epic rung: “Nutcracker stands tall and keeps perfect time. He believes a steady rhythm and a tidy plan can crack any hard problem — even the toughest nut of a December to-do list.” He wears a toy-soldier uniform — tall black bearskin hat with a gold crown, red jacket with gold braid, and a white cross-belt — and he has a spotlight of his own in our nutcracker avatar ideas. Nutcracker is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions.

Frosty Friend is the room's snowman: “Frosty keeps the cocoa warm and the door open. He believes every cold day is just an excuse for a warm scarf and a good story.” He wears a black top hat and a red knit scarf, ready for the first snow. Frosty Friend is also an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions — the soldier and the snowman, for 200 coins the pair.

An Epic and a Rare: Ugly Sweater at 100 and Noelle Frostglide at 75

Ugly Sweater is the room's loudest Epic: “Ugly Sweater is bold, funny, and completely unbothered. He believes the best holiday outfit is the one that makes the whole room laugh, and he wears his joy at maximum volume.” His page calls him loud, proud, and knit with love, rocking the gloriously gaudy holiday sweater with tinsel-level confidence. Ugly Sweater is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions.

Noelle Frostglide closes the pictured shelf at the Rare rung: “Noelle glides across frozen ponds with a sparkle in every turn. She practices her winter routine all year and dreams of a Christmas Eve performance.” She is a graceful ice skater in a fur-trimmed ice-blue coat. Noelle is a Rare at 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions — the cheapest pictured Muse on this shelf, and the room's only Rare in the preview cast.

Her Own Room: the Christmas Preview Cast of 12

Candy Cane's home room, Christmas — tagline, “Merry and bright.” — holds 18 Muses in all, and the catalog preview walks the 12 above. The four preview Muses not pictured in this list are Starlight, a serene Muse in midnight navy sprinkled with gold stars and crowned with a golden star; Tinsel, a cream-fuzz Muse dressed as a decorated Christmas tree with gold tinsel, bright ornaments and a star on top; Jolly Elf, the workshop's chief mischief-maker in a pointy elf hat and jingle-bell scarf; and Twinkle Tinsel, a merry Muse happily tangled in twinkling holiday lights, at the Common rung for 50 coins. The full room guide is our Christmas collection guide.

How to Start Your Candy Cane Shelf

The math on the pictured eight — Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Reindeer Games, Santa, Nutcracker, Frosty Friend, Ugly Sweater and Noelle Frostglide — is 925 coins bought one by one, and the first step costs far less than that. A new account starts with 150 Muse Coins, which buys Candy Cane and Twinkle Tinsel together exactly, and the Free Muses room holds 269 Muses free to collect at 0 coins, so a Christmas shelf can stand on day one. Coins beyond the starting grant come from the daily reward of 10 coins a day, from referrals, or from coin packs on the packs page: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 for $9.99, and Muse Club is $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins a month.

Still choosing a Christmas Muse? Take the match quiz, browse the Muse avatars hub, or design a candy cane character of your own on the create page. Every unlock is one-time and yours forever: the Muse's full-resolution artwork download sits on its page, and the Use in Muse button copies its prompt pack into a new Muse chat.
