Collectible Muse Avatars: Numbered Editions, Rarities and Sets

A collectible Muse avatar is a finished character you can actually own a numbered edition of. Every Muse on AllTheMuse has a name, original artwork, a written personality and a rarity — and for every rarity above Common, a hard edition cap printed on its page. There are 1,184 Muses to collect today across 78 collections: 269 free in Free Muses and 915 paid in Premium. This guide shows what makes one collectible in practice — the edition number, the ladder, the sets — starting from what is a Muse avatar? if you want the definition first.

A Numbered Edition, Not Just a Picture

Collectible here starts with a number you can read before you spend anything. Each capped Muse page shows how many editions exist, how many are claimed, and — once you own it — which edition is yours. Thunderhead Thane, pictured at the top of this guide, is a Divine Muse capped at 25 editions: 1 of 25 is claimed today, with 24 left. When a cap fills, the unlock retires — owners keep theirs forever, and no new editions are made.

The caps tighten as rarity rises. A Rare is capped at 5,000 editions, an Epic at 1,000, a Legendary at 250 and a Mythic at 100, while Commons carry no cap at all. Ghostly Boo, the Mythic of Spooky Season, will only ever have 100 editions. That is the whole scarcity system — fixed, printed on the page, and the same for every collector.

The Rarity Ladder: What a Collectible Muse Costs

Prices are fixed by rarity, with no auctions and no haggling: Common 50 Muse Coins, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, Mythic 200, and Divine 350. Muse Coins are platform credits with no cash value — they cannot be withdrawn or traded, and they do not expire. The ladder is why two Muses in different rooms cost the same: First Mate Pearl, the Pirates Mythic, and Reindeer Games, the Christmas Mythic, are both 200 coins, capped at 100 editions.

Collecting does not have to start at the top of the ladder. All 269 Muses in Free Muses — like Linden Winifred, a Common at 0 coins — are free to collect outright, with no balance needed. A new account also starts with 150 Muse Coins, enough for a whole 250-coin room bundle, a flagship pair, or one Divine. One shelf breaks the ladder on purpose: the Founder Collection prices all twelve originals at a flat 50 coins each, whatever their rarity.

The Top Shelf: The Divine Twenty and the Legend Room

The most collectible Muses on the site are The Divine Twenty: twenty masterpieces at 350 coins each, every one capped at just 25 editions. Starfall Sanna stands first in the set, Rosette Reina wears a rose-petal gown and crown, and Thunderhead Thane carries the storm — 1 of his 25 editions is already claimed. Divine Muses are collected one at a time; there is no bundle for the Twenty.

Below them, the Legend Collection gathers 177 Muses from the rarest tiers — every Divine, Mythic and Legendary in the catalog on one shelf — and Rare Discovery surfaces 223 rare finds, its current preview led by Epics at 100 coins. Those two shelves are lenses, not separate copies: unlock a Muse in its home room and it is yours on every shelf it stands on.

Completing a Set: Bundles and the Finish Price

A collectible earns its keep in a set, and 69 of the 78 collections carry a bundle — one set price for the whole room. 59 bundles cost 250 Muse Coins; Christmas is 300, and the largest reach 500 for World Tour and The Glow Collection. The math is plain: the ten Pirates of the Plush Seas Muses cost 750 coins bought one by one — Pearl at 200, Captain Barnacle at 150 and eight Commons at 50 — against the 250-coin bundle. The twelve Zodiac Muses cost 850 singly, also 250 as a bundle.

Already own part of a set? You only pay for the ones you are missing — the finish-the-set price is pro-rated at unlock, as the packs and bundles page explains, and Muses published into a collection later join its bundle automatically. Our avatar bundles explainer walks through how bundle ownership resolves in detail.

What You Keep: The Vault, the Prompt Pack, the Download

Unlocking is one-time. The Muse is yours forever in your Vault — its full prompt pack and conversation style for chatting in character in Muse, plus the full-resolution artwork download for Muses you own. There is no subscription, no rental period and no expiry, and nothing about collecting needs a blockchain wallet: Muses are not NFTs, and no token is involved.

The honest way to start is the way that costs nothing. Collect a free Muse from Free Muses, see its page become yours, then decide whether a set is calling. The Find Your Muse match can point you at the character that fits you first, and the Gallery shows the whole 1,184-Muse catalog in one stream when you would rather browse every collectible at once.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a Muse avatar collectible?

Four things together: a finished named character with original artwork and a written personality, a rarity with a fixed Muse Coin price, a hard edition cap for every rarity above Common — from 5,000 for a Rare down to 25 for a Divine — and a place in a themed set you can complete. Your own edition number is shown on the Muse page once you own it.

Are collectible Muse avatars NFTs?

No. No blockchain is involved in collecting a Muse. Muses are unlocked in your AllTheMuse account with Muse Coins — platform credits with no cash value that cannot be withdrawn or traded — at fixed prices set by rarity, and they live in your Vault.

What happens when a collectible Muse sells out?

When every edition of a capped Muse is claimed, its unlock retires and no new editions are made. Owners keep theirs forever in their Vault, with the prompt pack and full-resolution download intact. Today, for example, Thunderhead Thane shows 1 of 25 Divine editions claimed, with 24 left.

Can I collect Muse avatars for free?

Yes. The Free Muses room holds 269 Muses priced at 0 coins, free to collect with no balance needed, and a new account also starts with 150 Muse Coins — enough for a 250-coin collection bundle or a flagship Muse.
