Retriever Avatar Ideas: Meet Retriever Rudy

A retriever avatar should come with a wag, a grin and a best friend who is already halfway to the dog park. AllTheMuse has one true retriever Muse: Retriever Rudy, the golden retriever Common of Top Dogs, the room where ten beloved breeds each get a Muse of their own — its tagline is “Good boys, every one.” Around Rudy stands the whole pack — a noble Great Dane, a herding collie, a very long dachshund. Here are the retriever avatar ideas, Muse by Muse. New here? Start with what is a Muse avatar?

Retriever Rudy: The Friendliest Face at 50

Retriever Rudy is, in his page's words, the friendliest face in the dog park, and it's not close: a Muse in a deep teal tee printed with a joyful golden retriever, plus a matching teal cap with a cream paw. Like every Top Dogs Muse, he wears his breed on his tee — a big illustrated portrait of a golden retriever, with a matching paw-print cap to finish the look.

His page adds that he believes every stranger is just a friend whose name he hasn't learned yet — the whole retriever idea in one small plush body. Rudy is a Common Muse at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap, and 0 claimed when checked today. An unlock is one-time and yours forever, with the full prompt pack, the conversation style and the full-resolution artwork download included on his page.

The Flagships: Dane Duke at 200 and Collie Callie at 150

Every pack needs its flagships, and Top Dogs puts its biggest dog on top. Dane Duke is the room's Mythic: the Great Dane Muse, wearing a tee with a big illustrated portrait of a noble Great Dane plus the matching paw-print cap. He is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today.

Collie Callie is the Legendary: the border collie Muse, in the same tee-and-cap uniform with her breed's portrait front and centre. Collie Callie is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins, capped at 250 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today — so the flagship pair together cost 350 coins bought singly.

The Epics: Wiener Walt and Husky Hugo at 100

The Epic rung holds the pack's longest dog and its fluffiest. Wiener Walt is the dachshund Muse — the wiener dog of the room, portrait on his tee and paw on his cap. Husky Hugo is the husky Muse, built for collectors who like their dogs with a little extra fur and a lot of opinions.

Both are Epic Muses at 100 Muse Coins each, capped at 1,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today. If Rudy's golden grin is your starting point, Hugo is the closest neighbour in energy — same big-dog joy, considerably more fluff.

The Rares: Beagle Bailey, Poodle Pierre and Shepherd Shane at 75

Three Rares fill the middle of the pack. Beagle Bailey is the beagle Muse, all nose and loyalty. Poodle Pierre is the poodle Muse, the pack's polished one. Shepherd Shane is the German shepherd Muse, standing guard at the end of the row.

All three are Rare Muses at 75 Muse Coins each, capped at 5,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today — any two of them exactly match a new account's 150 starting coins.

Rudy's Fellow Commons: Corgi Cleo and Frenchie Felix at 50

Rudy shares the Common rung with the pack's shortest legs and its biggest ears. Corgi Cleo is the corgi Muse — low to the ground, high on confidence. Frenchie Felix is the French bulldog Muse, who got his own spotlight in our Frenchie avatar ideas post.

Both are Common Muses at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap, and 0 claimed when checked today. The three Commons together — Rudy, Cleo and Felix — cost 150 coins in total, which is exactly a new account's starting balance.

The Honest Coin Math for a Top Dogs Shelf

The pictured ten total 925 coins bought one by one, and the first step costs far less. A new account starts with 150 Muse Coins — all three Top Dogs Commons exactly: Retriever Rudy, Corgi Cleo and Frenchie Felix at 50 each. The Free Muses room holds 269 Muses free to collect at 0 coins alongside them.

Collectors who want the whole pack at once can take the Top Dogs collection bundle at 250 Muse Coins for all ten Muses instead of 925 singly. Coins beyond the starting grant come from the daily reward, from referrals, or from coin packs on the packs page: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 for $9.99, and Muse Club is $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins a month.
