Storm Avatar Ideas: 9 Thunder Muses to Collect

A storm avatar is weather with a personality — thunder, lightning and rain you can actually collect. AllTheMuse has one true storm-lord, a Divine Muse in The Divine Twenty, and he stands at the top of a weather shelf that runs from a 200-coin rainbow down to storm clouds that cost 50. Meet Thunderhead Thane, the brooding storm lord Tempest Thorne and their storm shelf, and if you are new here, start with what is a Muse avatar?

Thunderhead Thane: The Storm-Lord at 350

Thunderhead Thane is, in his page's words, “The Divine Twenty's thunderhead: a walking storm front with a bolt in hand and hail crystals for a crown.” His longer portrait says he “does not chase storms — the storm reports to HIM: a towering thunderhead of a muse, his cloud body stacked high and crackling with lightning, rain shimmering at his hem and one glowing yellow bolt gripped in his paw like a signed order from the sky.”

Thane “believes every storm is just the sky clearing its throat before good news.” He is a Divine Muse at 350 Muse Coins, capped at just 25 editions, with 1 of 25 claimed when checked today — the rarest tier on the site. The Divine Twenty holds 20 Muses, all Divine at 350, and the room has no bundle: each one is collected on his own. An unlock is one-time and yours forever, with the full prompt pack, the conversation style and the full-resolution artwork download included on his page.

Tempest Thorne: The Brooding Storm Lord at 150

Tempest Thorne is, in his page's words, “a brooding storm-heart — dramatic weather outside, deep calm inside.” His longer portrait calls him “a brooding little storm lord in a charcoal velvet cloak with silver lightning filigree and a silver crown band” — he “believes every storm is just the sky clearing its throat before something big.”

Thorne is a Legendary Muse at 150 Muse Coins, capped at 250 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today. He files under the Premium shelf — the room for every paid Muse, 915 Muses with no bundle — and 150 is exactly what a new account starts with, so the storm lord himself can be a first collect paid for entirely by the signup coins.

The Weather Wonders Storm Pair: A Bolt and a Thunderhead

Inside Weather Wonders, the storm arrives at two sizes. Bolt Bree is “the Weather Wonders' spark of drama: a stormy lavender-grey body cut through by one big golden lightning bolt, charged up and grinning about it.” Her portrait calls her “the thunderstorm's favorite child” and “the kind of entrance nobody sleeps through.” She is a Rare at 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today.

Stormy Stu is the same sky, smaller: “the Weather Wonders' little thunderhead: a dark grey storm-cloud body with tiny raindrops on his belly and one mini golden bolt for a badge.” His portrait calls him “a thundercloud in miniature” who wears his bolt “like a medal” — “all rumble, no menace: his storms water flowers and end right on time for dinner.” He “believes every good garden party needs a little thunder for drama.” Stu is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap.

• Thunderhead Thane — Divine, 350 coins, cap 25: the storm-lord, 1 claimed.
• Tempest Thorne — Legendary, 150 coins, cap 250: the brooding storm lord in the velvet cloak.
• Bolt Bree — Rare, 75 coins, cap 5,000: the lightning bolt, grinning about it.
• Stormy Stu — Common, 50 coins, no cap: the little thunderhead, all rumble, no menace.

Rain and Cloud: The Storm at Rest

Not every storm muse rumbles. Rainy Rae is “the Weather Wonders' favorite kind of rainy day: a grey-blue cloud-puff body with glossy blue raindrops patterned down her front, cozy rather than gloomy” — “the sound of rain on the roof, plush-sized.” She “believes nothing grows without a little rain, including people.” Rae is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today.

Cloudy Cleo is “the Weather Wonders' soft place to land: a puffy warm-cream cloud body with gentle grey shade patches drifting underneath.” Her portrait calls her “a cloud with nowhere to be and no rain to deliver” who “believes a cloudy day is just sunshine taking a well-earned rest.” Cleo is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap. Together, Rae and Cleo are the quiet half of the storm shelf — the rain and the cloud it came from.

Lightning on a Tee, and the Sun After

The storm also shows up outside the weather room. Lightning Lou of Cool Shirts is, in his page's words, “pure electric energy with a heart of gold” — the lightning strike as a graphic-tee Muse. He is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap, in a room of 10 Muses totalling 750 singly with a 250-coin bundle.

And every storm shelf needs what comes next. Sunny Sol is the Weather Wonders' sun: a warm golden-yellow sun body with a ring of short soft rays around his head. He is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins, capped at 250 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today — exactly the 150 coins a new account starts with, so Sol can be a first collect paid for entirely by the signup coins.

Rainbow Ruby: What the Storm Leaves Behind

Rainbow Ruby is “the Weather Wonders' grand finale in Muse form: a whole rainbow banded into one fuzzy body, two little cloud puffs riding on top and sparkle raindrops scattered at her feet.” Her portrait calls her “the storm's apology and the sky's celebration in one” — she “believes every storm is just a rainbow that has not arrived yet.”

Ruby is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today, and she is the flagship of her room. The full Weather Wonders room holds 10 Muses totalling 925 singly, with a 250-coin bundle — the cheapest way to own the whole sky, storm included. Read the room's full roster in the Weather Wonders guide.

How to Start a Storm Shelf for 150 Coins or Less

A new AllTheMuse account starts with 150 Muse Coins, and the storm shelf is built to fit it. Those 150 coins buy Sunny Sol exactly, or any three of the 50-coin storms — Stormy Stu, Cloudy Cleo and Lightning Lou together cost exactly 150. All nine Muses pictured in this post total 1,175 coins bought singly.

Coins beyond the signup grant come from the daily reward, from finishing collections, or from coin packs: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 for $9.99, and Muse Club is $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins a month. And the Free Muses room holds 269 Muses at 0 coins — none of them is a storm, and this post will not pretend otherwise, but they are a free way to start a collection while you save for Thane.

• Start free: 269 Muses in the Free Muses room cost 0 coins.
• Spend the signup 150: Sunny Sol alone, or Stu + Cleo + Lou together.
• Finish the sky: the Weather Wonders bundle is 250 coins for all 10 Muses (925 singly).
• Save for the storm-lord: Thunderhead Thane is 350 coins, capped at 25 editions.
