Viking Avatar Ideas: Meet Viking Vanya

Looking for viking avatar ideas — a seafaring character who is already finished, helmet, fur cape and shield included? Start with Viking Vanya of the Little Warriors, an Epic Muse at 100 Muse Coins who arrives with the tide and the volume up. Around her, this list builds her whole warrior shelf from the live catalog: her Norse shipmate at 50 coins, a Mythic at 200, a Legendary at 150, the other Epic at 100, and Rares at 75. New to collecting? Start with what is a Muse avatar?

Meet Viking Vanya: the Seafaring Epic at 100 Coins

Viking Vanya is, in her own page's words, a Muse who “arrives with the tide and the volume up: soft cream helmet with two small horns, a deep teal tunic under a braided belt, and a round wooden shield painted with a cream spiral she swears is a map. It is not a map. She will still get you there, singing.” Her page summary adds that she is “Little Warriors' heartiest sailor: a viking of a Muse in a cream horned helmet and a fluffy chocolate-brown fur cape, laughing like the whole fjord is in on the joke. Her longship runs on songs, soup, and excellent morale.” Vanya is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions and fully unclaimed when checked today. Her page id keeps the older viking-vera slug, while her display name is Viking Vanya.

Her natural shipmate is Valkyrie Veda, the room's other Norse Muse: “Valkyrie Veda descends in a swirl of teal cape and good news: silver helmet with two small soft wings, a silver-blue tunic with a gold belt, and a round shield painted with a teal wing. Legend says she carries heroes to glory; in practice she carries them to lunch, which the heroes prefer.” Veda is a Common at 50 Muse Coins with no edition cap — so the Norse pair together cost exactly 150 coins, the whole starting grant of a new account.

The Flagships: Wizard Aster at 200 and Knight Kade at 150

The room's flagship is Wizard Aster: “Wizard Aster does not charge into quests — he strolls into them, deep-indigo robe and floppy pointed hat sprinkled with tiny gold stars and one crescent moon, wooden toy staff in paw like a walking stick for the universe. He has read the end of every story and still gasps at the good parts.” Aster is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions and fully unclaimed today.

Knight Kade carries the Legendary rung: “Knight Kade polished his armor with optimism: soft silver-grey plates, a gold sun emblem shining on his tunic, a helmet hood crowned with a short red plume, and a small round shield he holds like a promise. He has never won a joust, mostly because he keeps stopping to help the other knight up.” Kade is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins — exactly the 150 coins a new account starts with — capped at 250 editions and fully unclaimed today.

The Other Epic and a Rare: Samurai Sora at 100, Ninja Niko at 75

Samurai Sora is Vanya's fellow Epic, and her exact opposite in volume: “Samurai Sora is discipline you can hug: bands of deep-red padded armor over his whole round body, a dark red kabuto helmet with a small gold disc crest, and a navy sash belt where a tiny toy sword rests, permanently and proudly, in its sheath. He bows to opponents, to elders, and occasionally to very respectable trees.” Sora is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions — the stillness to Vanya's sea volume, for 200 coins the pair.

The first Rare is Ninja Niko: “Ninja Niko moves like a rumor in soft slippers: charcoal-navy hood and wrap tunic, face panel calm above his wrapped scarf, grey belt carrying one small gold star charm — his only flash, worn like a wink.” Niko is a Rare at 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions. The room has three Rares in all at that rung — Niko, Spartan Spiro and Gladiator Gus — so any one of them pairs with Vanya for 175 coins of shelf.

A Rare and a Common: Spartan Spiro at 75 and Musketeer Milo at 50

Spartan Spiro is “built like a very round fortress: bronze helmet crowned with a fluffy crimson mohawk, cape sweeping behind him, and a great round bronze shield with a red rim that has blocked rain, wind, and one extremely persistent beach ball.” Spiro is a Rare at 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions — the shield wall standing next to Vanya's round wooden shield.

Musketeer Milo closes the pictured shelf at the Common rung: “Musketeer Milo swashbuckles at a very safe speed: soft brown hat with one grand cream feather, gold-trimmed blue tabard, a buckle you could land a plane on, and a tiny wooden sword he flourishes exclusively at croissants.” Milo is a Common at 50 Muse Coins with no edition cap. With Veda and Archer Arlo, he is one of the room's three Commons at that price.

Her Own Room: All 10 Little Warriors Muses

Vanya's home room, Little Warriors — tagline, “The Muse IS the tiny warrior.” — gives every Muse a complete head-to-toe toy warrior outfit, from the wizard-knight's star-covered robe to the viking's cream horned helmet and fluffy chocolate-brown cape. The full room is 10 Muses at 925 coins bought one by one, or 250 coins for the bundle.

How to Start Your Viking Shelf

The math on the pictured eight — Vanya, Veda, Aster, Kade, Sora, Niko, Spiro and Milo — is 800 coins bought one by one, and the first step costs far less than that. A new account starts with 150 Muse Coins, which buys the Norse pair of Viking Vanya and Valkyrie Veda together exactly, and the Free Muses room holds 269 Muses free to collect at 0 coins, so a warrior shelf can stand on day one. Coins beyond the starting grant come from the daily reward of 10 coins a day, from referrals, or from coin packs on the packs page: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 for $9.99, and Muse Club is $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins a month.

Still choosing a warrior? Take the match quiz, browse the Muse avatars hub, or design a viking character of your own on the create page. Every unlock is one-time and yours forever: the Muse's full-resolution artwork download sits on its page, and the Use in Muse button copies its prompt pack into a new Muse chat. For the full roster guide, see the Little Warriors guide, and for her Epic partner's own list, the samurai avatar ideas.

• Start with the 150 starting coins: Viking Vanya (100) plus Valkyrie Veda (50) — the Norse pair, for the whole amount, spent exactly.
• Add a Rare at 75 next: eight days of the 10-coin daily reward more than closes the gap after the starting spend.
• Collect a free Muse at 0 coins from the Free Muses room (269 Muses) while you save.
• Finish the room with the Little Warriors bundle at 250 coins — all 10 Muses, against 925 bought singly.
