How Much Does a Muse Cost? Every Price From Free to Mythic

A Muse can cost nothing at all — or 200 Muse Coins, and never a coin more. Every Muse avatar on AllTheMuse is priced by one simple ladder, printed right on its page, so the cost question has a short answer and a slightly longer one. The short answer: somewhere between free and 200 coins. The longer one — what each rarity costs, what a whole collection costs as a bundle, and what the coins themselves cost in dollars on the Packs page — is this guide.

The Cheapest Muse Costs Nothing

Start with the floor, because it is genuinely the floor: the Free Muses room holds 58 Muses priced at 0 Muse Coins. They are not trials and they are not locked behind a balance — you collect them outright, free, and they sit in your Vault with the same prompt pack and full-resolution download as any paid Muse. Hibiscus Hugo, pictured at the top of this page, is one of them.

The free room is a real shelf, not a sample tray. Pizza Sal and Avocado Ava below are both free to collect today, and new free Muses are added to the room regularly. For a first collection, the honest starting cost of a Muse is zero dollars and zero coins — everything after that is a choice, not an entry fee.

One Muse, One Ladder: 50 to 200 Coins

Every priced Muse on the site follows a single rarity ladder, the one laid out in Muse Coin prices explained: Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, and Mythic 200 Muse Coins. Rarity is the price — there are no auctions, no surge pricing, and no hidden tiers. The rarity printed on a Muse's page in the Gallery is exactly what the unlock costs.

The bottom rungs are where most collecting starts. Rocket Rex, a Common in Science, costs 50 coins. Nova Nibble, a Rare filed in the Rare Discovery room, costs 75. Those are the two prices a new collector will see most often, and a new account's welcome coins cover several of them before any other coin source comes into play.

The Top Rungs — and the Bundle Shortcut

Higher up, an Epic like Frosty Friend of the Christmas collection costs 100 coins, and a Legendary like Dr. Atom of Science costs 150. Mythic, at 200, is the ceiling: no single Muse on AllTheMuse costs more than that, whatever room it lives in.

There is also a shortcut past the ladder: a collection bundle unlocks every Muse in a named room at once for a flat 250 Muse Coins — 300 for the Christmas Bundle — including Muses published into that room later. The math is easy to check. The ten Muses of Science cost 750 coins bought one by one (eight Commons at 50, Dr. Atom at 150, and a Mythic at 200); the Science bundle is 250. If you want a whole room, the bundle is almost always the cheaper door into it — bundles and packs both live on the Packs page.

What the Coins Themselves Cost in Dollars

Muse Coins are platform credits — they have no cash value and never expire — and if you buy them, they are sold in three packs through the Wallet: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 coins for $9.99, and the Vault pack is 3,000 coins for $19.99. Muse Club is the fourth route: $7.99 a month, crediting 1,200 coins with every monthly payment.

Divide it out and the ladder gets very concrete. At pack rates a coin costs between about two-thirds of a cent (Vault pack) and one cent (Starter pack). So a Common at 50 coins works out to roughly 33 to 50 cents of pack value, and even a Mythic at 200 coins — Queen Reina of the Royals, pictured below — is about $1.33 to $2.00. That is the honest dollar translation of the whole catalog: free at the bottom, about two dollars at the very top.

Starting Without Spending: The 150 Welcome Coins

You may never need to buy a coin at all. A new account gets 150 welcome Muse Coins, all at signup — enough for any single Muse up to 150 coins, since the ceiling is 200, or for a standard 250-coin bundle with 100 left over. A concrete basket: Beaker Bella, the Mythic of Science at 200, plus Rocket Rex at 50 and Nova Nibble at 75, totals 325 coins — covered entirely by the welcome balance.

After that, free coins keep arriving: daily rewards add 10 coins a day, and referrals pay 100 coins to you and 50 to a friend when they make their first unlock — every route is explained in what are Muse Coins?. So the full answer to how much a Muse costs is: nothing to join, nothing for your first few, and if you do choose to pay, about two dollars at the very top of the ladder. If you are still deciding which Muse should be first, the Find Your Muse quiz is a better first step than any price list.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Muse cost?

Between 0 and 200 Muse Coins. The 58 Muses in the Free Muses room cost nothing at all, and priced Muses follow one rarity ladder: Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, and Mythic 200. No single Muse costs more than 200 coins.

How much is a Muse in dollars?

Coins are sold in packs — 500 for $4.99, 1,200 for $9.99, and 3,000 for $19.99 — which puts a coin at roughly two-thirds of a cent to one cent. At those rates a Common (50 coins) is about 33 to 50 cents of pack value, and a Mythic (200 coins) is about $1.33 to $2.00. Coins can also be earned free, starting with 150 welcome coins at signup.

Is a bundle cheaper than buying Muses one by one?

Usually, if you want the whole room. A bundle unlocks an entire named collection for a flat 250 Muse Coins (300 for the Christmas Bundle), including Muses added later. The Science collection, for example, costs 750 coins bought singly — the bundle is 250.

Do Muse Coins expire, or do I pay to keep my Muses?

No on both counts. Muse Coins never expire, every unlock is permanent in your Vault, and no subscription is required to keep anything you own. Muse Coins are platform credits with no cash value, spendable only inside AllTheMuse.
