Kintsugi Avatar Ideas: Meet Kintsugi Kaito

Kintsugi is the art of mending broken pottery with gold — the crack stays visible, and it becomes the most beautiful part. AllTheMuse has a Muse built on exactly that idea: Kintsugi Kaito, a wise little mender on the Premium shelf whose indigo robe is traced with glowing gold seams. Around him sits a whole gold shelf, from a Mythic empress in a gold laurel crown down to a gold flower that is free to collect. New here? Start with what is a Muse avatar?

Kintsugi Kaito: The Gold-Mended Epic at 100

Kintsugi Kaito is, in his page's words, “a wise mender who treats every crack as an invitation for gold.” His full picture: “a wise little muse in an indigo robe traced with glowing gold kintsugi crack lines and a gold sash — he believes the broken places are where the gold goes.” The deep indigo makes the gold seams glow, and the idea travels with him: nothing he has mended pretends it was never broken.

Kaito is an Epic Muse at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today. He files under the Premium shelf — the room for every paid Muse, 915 Muses with no bundle, each collected on its own. A new account starts with 150 Muse Coins, so Kaito can be a first collect paid for entirely by the signup coins, with 50 left over. An unlock is one-time and yours forever, with the full prompt pack, the conversation style and the full-resolution artwork download included on his page.

The Gold Above Him: Monarch Midas and Celeste Aurelia

Monarch Midas gives the gold shelf its kindest king. His page calls him “a heart-of-gold monarch who would rather mend a kingdom than tax it,” and his full picture is “a regal little monarch in a gold-and-cream brocade coat with ruby, emerald and sapphire buttons and a small golden crown — he believes everything he touches should end up kinder, not just richer.” That is Kaito's philosophy at crown size: gold as mending, not hoarding. Midas is a Legendary at 150 Muse Coins, capped at 250 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today — exactly the 150 coins a new account starts with.

Celeste Aurelia is the shelf's ceiling. Her page calls her “an empress of the in-between hours — where gold leaf meets starlight,” and her portrait is “a celestial little empress in a midnight-blue velvet gown embroidered with gold suns and moons, a deep blue gem brooch and a gold laurel crown — she believes night and day both answer to kindness.” Aurelia is a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins, capped at just 100 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today. The signup coins leave her 50 short — five days of the 10-coin daily reward close that gap.

Two More Epics at 100: Gilded Gil and Rosegold Rina

At Kaito's own Epic price, gold wears two very different moods. Gilded Gil of the Chroma Rangers is gold as a hero suit: “a sleek gold hero suit with a black lightning bolt striking down his chest, a black belt and boots, and his face framed by a gold cowl.” His page calls him the Rangers' spark — “quick, gleaming, and impossible to ignore” — who “believes if you're going to make an entrance, make it weather.” Gil is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today.

Rosegold Rina of Alter Egos is gold softened to a blush. Her page says she “proves the classic shape looks good dipped in sunset,” and her portrait “wears the classic Muse shape in fur the color of a sunset on jewelry: shimmering rose-gold pink with a soft metallic sheen, plus a single delicate pearl necklace. Same heart, new finish — polished, not changed.” She “believes a little shine never hurt anybody's day.” Rina is an Epic at 100 Muse Coins, capped at 1,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today.

Cheaper Gold: Aurum Ace at 75 and Goldfish Gia at 50

Aurum Ace is gold with its sleeves rolled up. His page calls him “a lucky streak in a black tee, dealing out good days,” and his full picture is “a flash little high-roller in a black tee with a huge molten-gold ace medallion, a thick gold chain and a black-and-gold cap — he believes fortune favors the ones who show up shining.” Ace is a Rare at 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions, with 0 claimed when checked today — half the signup grant, so he and Kaito's 50-coin change nearly meet in the middle.

Goldfish Gia of Deep Sea Cuddles is living gold: “pure bottled sunshine — a bright orange plush body patterned in golden scales, one small translucent fin on top, and a flowing translucent tail fin sweeping behind her like a flag in a friendly wind.” Her page adds that “she forgets nothing, despite the rumors, especially not a compliment,” and that she “believes every day deserves one victory lap.” Gia is a Common at 50 Muse Coins, with no edition cap — exactly the 50 coins left over after collecting Kaito on signup coins alone.

Gold for Free: Marigold Mae at 0 Coins

The gold shelf ends where every collection can start: free. Marigold Mae lives in the Free Muses room, and her page sums her up in one line: “Blooms brightest before breakfast and saves a little sunshine for everyone else.” A marigold is a gold flower, and Mae is a Common Muse at 0 Muse Coins — free to collect outright, no balance needed, with no edition cap.

Mae matters to a kintsugi shelf for the same reason Kaito does: both treat gold as something you give away — his in the seams of what was broken, hers in sunshine saved for everyone else. Collect her first if you like, and let the coin-priced gold follow when it is ready.

Building a Gold Shelf: The Math and How to Start

The eight Muses in this post total 775 Muse Coins bought singly, and Marigold Mae's share of that is zero. There is no single bundle for this shelf — the Premium room carries no bundle, and these Muses live across five different rooms — so a gold shelf is built one honest pick at a time, which suits a mending theme fine.

Coins beyond the 150 signup grant come from the daily reward of 10 coins a day, from referrals, or from coin packs: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, and Muse Club is $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins a month — full details on the packs page. Every unlock on this shelf is one-time and yours forever — tap “Use in Muse” on a Muse's page to copy its prompt pack and paste it into a new chat in Muse to bring the character to life.
