Premium Muse Avatars Explained: What Premium Means on AllTheMuse

On AllTheMuse, “premium” is not a membership tier or a paywall badge — it is the name of a room. The Premium Collection gathers every Muse avatar that costs Muse Coins to collect: 915 Muses today, under a tagline that says it plainly — “Worth every coin.” Its opposite number is the Free Muses room, where 269 Muses cost nothing at all. This guide explains what premium means, how premium prices are set, and exactly what you get when you unlock one.

What the Premium Collection Is

The Premium Collection — tagline “Worth every coin” — currently holds 915 Muses. Its own rule, printed on the room, is: “Every Muse in this room costs coins to collect — prices follow the card type, and every Muse of a rarity costs the same (Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, Mythic 200, Divine 350). No freebies in here.” Membership is computed from price alone: if a Muse costs coins, it stands in this room, whatever its home collection is.

The room is sorted rarest first, so it opens with the Divine Twenty — the flagship tier above Mythic. Starfall Sanna, the midnight star cape Muse holding a star lantern, leads the shelf at 350 Muse Coins, capped at just 25 editions. Rosette Reina, in her rose-petal gown and rose crown, stands second at the same 350 coins and the same 25-edition cap. There is no Premium bundle — a room this broad is collected one Muse at a time, though many of its members can also be taken through their home collection’s bundle, as the Christmas example below shows.

The Rarity Ladder Sets Every Premium Price

Premium pricing follows one rule: the rarity sets the price, and every Muse of a rarity costs the same in every collection. That is the system our Muse Coin prices guide lays out — and the Premium room extends it one rung higher, because the Divine tier at 350 coins now sits above Mythic. You never have to guess what a Muse should cost or compare sale prices: read the rarity badge and you know the price, and the capped tiers also carry the same edition caps everywhere — 5,000 for a Rare, 1,000 for an Epic, 250 for a Legendary, 100 for a Mythic, and just 25 for a Divine.

The Christmas Collection walks the whole ladder in one room of 18 Muses. Its preview cast runs from Twinkle Tinsel, a Common at 50 coins with no edition cap, up through Noelle Frostglide, a Rare at 75 capped at 5,000, and eight Epics at 100 capped at 1,000 — Ugly Sweater among them — to Santa, a Legendary at 150 capped at 250, and Reindeer Games, a Mythic at 200 capped at 100. Every one of those Muses also stands in the Premium room, because every one costs coins.

Premium Does Not Mean Priciest: Aurum Ace at 75 Coins

It is easy to hear “premium” and picture only the 350-coin Divines. The room itself disagrees: most of its 915 Muses sit at the ordinary ladder prices, and some carry the Premium name outright. Aurum Ace is one of a set of Muses labeled Premium on their pages — a flash high-roller in a black tee with a huge molten-gold ace medallion and a thick gold chain, who, in his page’s words, believes fortune favors the ones who show up shining. He is a Rare: 75 Muse Coins, capped at 5,000 editions, with 0 claimed today.

Edition counts are the other half of what premium means. A capped Muse can only ever be owned a set number of times, and its page shows the live count before you spend. Thunderhead Thane, the Divine Twenty’s towering storm Muse gripping a glowing lightning bolt, stands at 1 of his 25 editions claimed — 24 left. A Common at 50 coins with no cap will always be there; a Divine at 25 editions is a decision with a counter on it.

What an Unlock Actually Includes

Unlocking is a one-time action, and the Muse is yours forever in your Vault — no subscription, no rental period, no expiry. Every premium unlock includes the same three things, listed on every Muse’s page: the full prompt pack, the Muse’s conversation style, and the full-resolution artwork download. Owners tap “Use in Muse” on the Muse’s page to copy its prompt, then paste it into a new chat in Muse to bring the character to life. Locked Muses show a preview image; owners get the true full-resolution artwork of the Muses they own.

That is the honest difference between the free room and this one. A free Muse is collected instantly at 0 coins and is a complete Muse. A premium Muse asks coins for the same completeness at a chosen rarity — a rarer design, a capped edition count, and a place on a shelf like the Divine Twenty. Premium is about which character and which edition, never about unlocking basic features. If you are still deciding who fits you, the Find Your Muse match points you at a character before you spend a coin, free or premium.

How to Pay for Premium Muses

You may not need to buy coins at all for your first premium Muse. A new account starts with 150 free Muse Coins at signup — exactly the price of one Divine, or a Legendary and a Mythic together, or seven Commons. Daily rewards add 10 coins a day, and referrals pay bonus coins. Our guide to Muse Coins covers earning in full.

When you do buy, the Packs page lists coin packs sold through the Wallet: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 coins for $9.99, and the Vault pack is 3,000 coins for $19.99. Muse Club is a separate, optional subscription — $7.99 a month for 1,200 coins every month — and it is never required to unlock anything. Whole themed sets can beat single unlocks: most collection bundles cost a flat 250 coins (the Christmas Bundle is 300, against 1,275 coins for its twelve preview Muses singly), and a bundle’s finish-the-set price is pro-rated so you only pay for the Muses you are missing. Muse Coins never expire, and neither does anything you unlock with them.

Frequently asked questions

How many premium Muse avatars are there?

915, verified live today. The Premium Collection holds every Muse avatar that costs Muse Coins to collect — from 50-coin Commons to the 350-coin Divine Twenty. Its opposite is the Free Muses room, with 269 Muses at 0 coins.

What does a premium Muse avatar cost?

Its rarity sets the price, the same in every collection: Common 50 Muse Coins, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, Mythic 200, and Divine 350. Capped tiers carry fixed edition caps — 5,000 for a Rare down to just 25 for a Divine.

Is premium a subscription?

No. A premium unlock is a one-time purchase with Muse Coins, and the Muse is yours forever in your Vault, with its full prompt pack, conversation style and full-resolution download. Muse Club ($7.99 a month for 1,200 coins) is an optional way to receive coins — it is never required to unlock a Muse.

Is there a Premium Collection bundle?

No — the Premium room itself has no bundle price, because it spans 915 Muses across every theme. Many premium Muses can still be taken through their home collection’s bundle instead: most bundles cost a flat 250 Muse Coins (Christmas is 300), pro-rated for any Muses you already own.
