Muse Avatar Options Explained: Free Start, Singles, Bundles, and Muse Club

When people search for muse avatar options, they usually want one simple thing: what are the ways to actually get one, and what does each way cost? On AllTheMuse there are four honest routes — start free with welcome coins, unlock a single Muse by rarity, take a whole collection with a bundle, or join Muse Club for a monthly coin allowance — plus a fifth if none of the ready-made characters is quite yours: design your own. Every Muse is a finished plush character with original artwork, a written personality, and a full prompt pack for chatting in Muse. Start with what is a Muse avatar? for the definition, then pick your route below.

Option 1: Start Free With Welcome Coins

Plenty of Muses on AllTheMuse are free to collect outright — the whole Free Muses room carries a 0-coin price tag, no balance needed. And the coins themselves can be free too: a new account receives 150 coins the moment it signs up, before you spend anything.

That balance is enough to begin properly. At 50 coins, a Common such as Salty Sam from Pirates of the Plush Seas costs less than a sixth of the welcome balance, so seven Commons, one Mythic plus one Legendary, or one whole bundle (see Option 3) all fit inside it. Daily rewards add 10 more coins a day, and referrals pay 100 coins to you and 50 to a friend when they make their first unlock — a collection can keep growing without a card ever being involved.

Option 2: Unlock One Muse at a Time, by Rarity

The classic option is the single unlock: pick the one character you want, pay its rarity price once, and keep it forever. Prices follow the rarity ladder set out in Muse Coin prices explained — Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, and Mythic 200 Muse Coins. There is no subscription, rental period, or expiry attached to an unlock, and Muse Coins themselves never expire.

First Mate Pearl, the Mythic of Pirates of the Plush Seas at 200 coins, and Captain Barnacle, its Legendary at 150 coins, show the top of that ladder. Rarity also carries an edition cap: Mythic editions are capped at 100 and Legendary editions at 250, while Commons carry no cap. What you receive is the same at every tier — the full prompt pack, the conversation style, and the full-resolution artwork download for profile pictures.

Option 3: Take a Whole Collection With a Bundle

If you want a room, not a resident, the bundle is the option built for you. A bundle on the Packs page unlocks a whole named collection at once for a flat 250 Muse Coins — 300 for the Christmas Bundle. Bundle membership is resolved live, so Muses published into the collection later are included automatically.

The maths is where bundles earn their place. Spooky Season holds 20 Muses, including Ghostly Boo, its Mythic at 200 coins, and Pumpkin Patch, its Legendary at 150 — those two alone cost 350 coins bought singly, more than the 250-coin bundle that brings all 20 home. The Christmas collection currently holds 18 Muses, including Santa, a Legendary at 150 coins, for a 300-coin bundle. Against the 150 welcome coins, a standard bundle is a short top-up away — exactly two Commons.

Option 4: Top Up With Coin Packs, or Join Muse Club

When welcome and daily coins run short, there are two paid options, both listed on the Packs page and in the Wallet. Coin packs are one-time purchases: the Starter pack is 500 coins for $4.99, the Collector pack is 1,200 coins for $9.99, and the Vault pack is 3,000 coins for $19.99. A pack is the right option for a single collecting session — a bundle or two, a Mythic, and change.

Muse Club is the steady option instead: $7.99 a month for 1,200 Muse Coins every month. At the ladder, 1,200 coins is six Mythics, four standard bundles plus a Mythic, or twenty-four Commons, month after month. The plain way to choose is by pace — a pack if you are collecting now, Club if you expect to keep collecting. Neither is required to own a Muse: unlocks are one-time and permanent with or without them, and the background in what are Muse Coins? explains how earning and spending fit together.

Option 5: Get Matched, or Design Your Own

Two options remain for when the ready-made routes do not settle it. The Find Your Muse quiz matches you to a Muse by personality across the 77 collections, and the full Gallery lets you browse every character by rarity and price before choosing — useful when the honest answer is that you do not know your Muse yet.

And if no existing character is the one, the Creator door is the design-your-own option: submitting a concept is free, every submission is reviewed by a human before anything is made, and an approved concept is minted as a collectible Muse at the unlock price set by its rarity. That is the full set of muse avatar options — free start, single, bundle, pack, Club, matched, or made by you.

Frequently asked questions

Are Muse avatars free?

Singles are priced by rarity at 50 to 200 Muse Coins, but a new account starts with 150 welcome coins — so a first unlock, or a whole 250-coin bundle, can cost no money at all. Daily rewards add 10 coins a day.

What is the difference between a single unlock and a bundle?

A single unlock buys one Muse at its rarity price (Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, Mythic 200 Muse Coins). A bundle unlocks a whole named collection at once for a flat 250 Muse Coins, or 300 for the Christmas Bundle, and later additions to the collection are included.

What is Muse Club, and who is it for?

Muse Club is a subscription at $7.99 a month that pays 1,200 Muse Coins every month. It suits steady collectors; a one-time coin pack (500 coins for $4.99, 1,200 for $9.99, or 3,000 for $19.99) suits a single collecting session. Neither is required — unlocks are one-time and permanent.

Do Muse Coins or unlocked Muses expire?

No. Muse Coins do not expire, and an unlocked Muse stays in your Vault forever — its full prompt pack, conversation style, and full-resolution artwork download included, with no subscription, rental period, or expiry.
