Muse Avatar Wishlist: How the Want List and Edition Alerts Work

Every Muse avatar on AllTheMuse can be collected β but the capped ones can also run out. That is what the Muse avatar wishlist is for. Tap the β‘ Want button on any Muse and it joins your Want list: a watchlist in your Vault that tracks live edition counts and alerts you in the app before a Muse you are watching sells out. It costs nothing, it is separate from favoriting, and it takes one tap. New to all of this? Start with what a Muse avatar is β then come back and build your list.
Want Is Not Favorite β It Is a Watchlist
A Muse page carries two heart buttons, and they do different jobs. Favorite is a like β a pat on the head for a Muse you enjoy. Want is a commitment device: wanting a Muse puts it on your wishlist, and the site starts watching its editions for you. The wishlist is built for the Muses that can actually disappear β the capped editions.
The caps are real. Thunderhead Thane, the storm muse pictured at the top of this post, is a Divine at 350 Muse Coins with only 25 editions ever β and 1 of those 25 is already claimed, leaving 24. His Divine Twenty shelfmate Starfall Sanna is also 350 coins capped at 25 editions, all 25 still unclaimed. Twenty-five editions is not a shelf you browse at leisure; it is a shelf you watch. That watching is exactly the wishlistβs job.

How to Add a Muse to Your Wishlist
Take Ghostly Boo as the worked example. Boo is the Mythic of the Spooky Season collection β 200 Muse Coins, capped at 100 editions, none claimed yet. One tap on Want and Boo is being watched for you: if other collectors ever start claiming those 100 editions in earnest, you hear about it here on the site before the last one goes, instead of finding an empty shelf afterward.
You can want as many Muses as you like, from any collection β the list is a single watchlist across the whole catalog, not one list per room.
- Open any Museβs page β from the gallery, a collection, or a search β or find its card in the gallery.
- Tap β‘ Want. The button flips to β₯ Wanted and the Muse is on your list; tap it again to take it back off.
- If you are logged out, you will be asked to log in or create a free account first β a Want list belongs to an account, and a new account starts with 150 Muse Coins.
- That is the whole process. Wanting costs no coins and holds nothing against your balance.

Your List Lives in the Vault, With Live Edition Counts
Your wishlist lives in the Vault, in its own Wishlist section under the line βThe Muses youβre watching.β Every wanted Muse appears as a card carrying its live edition status: how many of its editions are claimed, a clear βonly a few leftβ status when the remaining count gets small, a sold-out status when the last edition is gone, and an open-edition note for Muses with no cap at all.
Each card that you do not own yet β and that has not sold out β also carries its own Unlock button, so the moment a cardβs count starts worrying you, you can collect that Muse in one tap without leaving the list. Tiger, pictured here, is the kind of card worth checking on: a Mythic at 200 Muse Coins capped at 100 editions, with 1 already claimed and 99 left. Your Vault card always shows the current numbers, not the numbers from the day you wanted it.

The Alerts: 25 Left, 10 Left, Sold Out β and New Drops
The alerts are the point of the whole system, and they are in-app only: they arrive under the π bell in the top bar, and opening the bell is what marks them read. When a capped Muse on your Want list is claimed down to 25 editions left, you get a low-edition alert. At 10 editions left, you get another. And if the last edition is claimed, you get a sold-out alert naming the Muse and its full edition run β so you always know whether you still have time or the shelf is truly empty.
There is one more alert, and collectors miss it: new drops. If you own at least five Muses from a collection β or have at least three Muses from it on your Want list β a brand-new Lab Muse landing in that collection puts a drop alert in your bell too. So the wishlist quietly doubles as a taste signal: want three Muses from a room you love, and the site starts flagging that roomβs new arrivals for you. Boba Bess (Mythic, 200 coins, cap 100, 1 claimed) and Hot Cocoa (Mythic, 200 coins, cap 100, none claimed) are both the capped, watch-worthy kind β either one earns its place on a list.

What to Want First β and the One Honest Limit
Work down the cap ladder. The smaller the cap, the more a wishlist earns its keep: a Divine can lose a fifth of its whole run to five collectors, while a Rare at 5,000 editions gives you years of warning. Seasonal flagships deserve an early Want as well β Reindeer Games, the Christmas Mythic at 200 coins capped at 100 editions, is exactly the sort of Muse a December rush reaches first.
And the one honest limit, stated plainly: the wishlist does not reserve anything. Wanting a Muse holds no edition in your name and spends no coins β it watches and it warns, and the edition still goes to whoever unlocks it first. When a 10-left alert lands, that is the moment to act: top up through the coin packs or earn the coins β daily rewards, streaks and the +100-coin set-completion bonus our set completion guide walks through β and unlock from the Vault card before the sold-out alert replaces it.
- Divine β 350 coins, capped at 25 editions: want these first; the run is the smallest on the site
- Mythic β 200 coins, capped at 100 editions
- Legendary β 150 coins, capped at 250 editions β Santa costs exactly the 150 signup coins
- Epic β 100 coins, capped at 1,000 editions Β· Rare β 75 coins, capped at 5,000 editions
- Common β 50 coins, no edition cap: a Want here is a bookmark, not a warning system β open editions never sell out

Frequently asked questions
Does adding a Muse to my wishlist cost coins?
No. Wanting a Muse is free and holds nothing against your balance β coins only move when you actually unlock a Muse. A new account starts with 150 Muse Coins, and your Want list works from day one.
Does the wishlist reserve an edition for me?
No β the wishlist watches and warns, it does not hold stock. You get alerts at 25 editions left and 10 editions left on a capped Muse you want, and a sold-out alert if the last one goes, but the edition itself goes to whoever unlocks it first.
What is the difference between Want and Favorite?
Favorite is a like. Want is the watchlist: a wanted Muse is tracked in the Wishlist section of your Vault with a live edition count and a one-tap Unlock button, and it subscribes you to its low-edition, sold-out and matching-drop alerts.
Where do wishlist alerts appear?
In the app, under the π bell in the top bar β alerts are in-app only, not email. You can be alerted when a wanted Muse drops to 25 editions left, again at 10 left, when it sells out, and when a new Lab drop matches a collection you collect or want several Muses from.
