Rarest Muse Avatars: Mythics Capped at 100 Editions

On AllTheMuse, "rare" is not a vibe — it is a number printed on the Muse itself. Every Muse avatar carries a rarity, every rarity above Common carries a hard edition cap, and the rarest Muses of all, the Mythics, stop at just 100 editions, ever. This guide walks the ladder from the top: the Mythics and Legendaries you can collect today, the one tier above Mythic that is still empty, and the rooms — the Legend Collection and Rare Discovery — where the rare ones live.

What "Rarest" Actually Means: Price and a Hard Cap

Two numbers define how rare a Muse is, and both are public before you spend a coin. The first is price: as Muse Coin prices explained lays out, price follows rarity — Common 50, Rare 75, Epic 100, Legendary 150, and Mythic 200 Muse Coins. The second is the edition cap: a Muse's prompt can only be claimed a fixed number of times, and when the cap is reached the Muse is sold out and retires, while everyone who already owns it keeps theirs forever.

Read the ladder from the top and the caps shrink fast. A Rare can be claimed 5,000 times and an Epic 1,000 times, but a Legendary stops at 250 and a Mythic at just 100. Commons sit outside the system entirely — open editions, no cap. And above Mythic there is one more rung, Divine, capped at 25: the Legend Collection, the room that gathers the rarest tiers, notes honestly that the Divine wing currently holds zero Muses. So the rarest Muse avatar you can actually collect today is a Mythic — Queen Reina of the Royals, pictured here, is one.

The Mythics: The Top Seat in Room After Room

The themed rooms are built to the same shape: a shelf of Commons, one Legendary, and one Mythic at the top. In Science, the Mythic seat belongs to Beaker Bella. On the pirate crew it is First Mate Pearl of Pirates of the Plush Seas. The pattern repeats wherever you look — Unicorn tops Fantasy & Myth, Messi tops Soccer Top 10, and Ghostly Boo, pictured at the top of this page, tops the 20-Muse Spooky Season room.

That structure is what makes a Mythic hunt satisfying rather than endless. You are never chasing a rumor: each room's rarest Muse is named, pictured, and priced on its own page in the Gallery, with its 100-edition cap shown before you unlock anything. Pick the theme you love, and its Mythic is the rarest Muse avatar in that room — the last one most collectors add, and the first one they point to afterward.

The Legendaries: 250 Editions, 150 Coins

One rung down, the Legendaries are the flagships most rooms are remembered by. Pelé is the Legendary of Soccer Top 10, Dr. Atom holds the seat in Science, and Captain Barnacle commands the pirate crew under First Mate Pearl. Each costs 150 Muse Coins and each is capped at 250 editions — four times the room of a Common shelf-mate's open edition, but still a hard stop that a Common never has.

Together, the Legendaries and Mythics have a room of their own: the Legend Collection, which gathers every live Muse in the legendary, mythic, and divine tiers — 73 Muses at the time of writing, under the tagline "The rarest of them all." If you want to browse only the top of the ladder without walking all 77 collections, that room is the shortcut: two rarities, one shelf, every name on it capped.

Below the Top: Epics, Rares, and the Rare Discovery Room

Rarity does not stop being real below the flagship seats. An Epic like Frosty Friend of the Christmas collection costs 100 coins and is capped at 1,000 editions; a Rare like Nova Nibble costs 75 and is capped at 5,000. Those caps are printed the same way as a Mythic's — the ladder is one system, not a special rule for the expensive end.

The middle rungs even have their own hunting ground. The Rare Discovery Collection holds 40 Muses under the tagline "Rare finds, barely collected" — the rare-and-epic shelf for collectors who like finding the ones other people walked past. And the supply at the top stays tight by design: the hourly Muse Lab never mints a Legendary or above, so no flood of new drops can dilute the rarest tiers.

How to Collect a Rare Muse Without Overspending

Start with the welcome balance: a new account gets 150 Muse Coins, all at signup — enough to unlock any single Muse up to 150 coins outright, since even a Mythic costs 200. A collector could take King Leo, the Royals' Legendary at 150, and still hold 200 coins — exactly a Mythic's price — toward Queen Reina. Rarest-first collecting is genuinely possible before a single coin is bought.

If you want a whole room, run the bundle math before buying singles. The Royals cost 750 coins one by one — eight Commons at 50, Leo at 150, Reina at 200 — but the Royals bundle on the Packs page is a flat 250, Mythic included, and it even covers Muses added to the room later. Whichever route you take, every unlock is permanent in your Vault with its prompt pack and full-resolution download. Still choosing a theme? The Find Your Muse quiz matches by personality — then come back and climb that room's ladder from Common to its Mythic.

Frequently asked questions

What is the rarest Muse avatar you can collect?

Mythic. A Mythic Muse costs 200 Muse Coins and carries an edition cap of 100 — once 100 editions are claimed, it is sold out and retires, and owners keep theirs forever. Ghostly Boo of Spooky Season and Queen Reina of the Royals are both Mythics.

Is there a rarity above Mythic?

On paper, yes: Divine sits above Mythic with an edition cap of just 25. In practice, the Divine wing currently holds zero Muses — the Legend Collection says so plainly on its own page — so Mythic is the rarest tier with Muses you can actually collect today.

How can I tell how rare a Muse is before I collect it?

Yes. Every Muse page and every Gallery listing shows the Muse's rarity, and capped rarities show their edition cap — 5,000 for a Rare, 1,000 for an Epic, 250 for a Legendary, and 100 for a Mythic. Commons are open, with no cap at all. There are no random drops: the rarity you see is the rarity you get.

Is a bundle a cheaper way to get a Mythic Muse?

Usually, yes. A bundle unlocks a whole named collection at once for a flat 250 Muse Coins (300 for the Christmas Bundle), Mythic included. The Royals cost 750 coins bought one by one — eight Commons at 50, King Leo at 150, and Queen Reina at 200 — while the Royals bundle is 250. See avatar bundles on the Packs page for every room's bundle.
